If you were in business 100 years ago - driving new business would have revolved around building a reputation and and then nurturing relationships with your neighbours and community. These same techniques apply today with the obvious exception that your potential neighbours and community now span the globe.
Sites like YouTube, eBay and Facebook have proven the power of the 21st century global community - but how can we leverage this "new community" to drive your business? Although there are many ways to start, there are three simple techniques that can help jumpstart your community.
Find new contacts
Finding new customers is the goal of any sales and marketing team. The tools of the trade include advertising, websites and the dreaded - yet effective - cold calling.
Acquire those contacts
While these tools are effective, we cannot lose sight of the fact that everyone we encounter is a contact that may potentially help propel business forward. As such they should be entered to the contact pool of your CRM system.
Retain those contacts
Keep in touch - my favorite suggestion to business owners is to create a company newsletter that keeps customers, prospects, and contacts informed thus keeping your organisation at the top of their mind.
In future issues, we look forward to discussing these and other methods of growing your business by leveraging the tools found in Clear Service! |
